The process of outsourcing our product internationally has accelerated the implementation of a translation system, 100% operational today, which we now use when deploying our solutions.
The methodology used for a global translation is now simple and easy on Digiparc: a full export of the labels gives all the terms to be translated in Excel format. The translation is done in the Excel file and the translated labels are reintegrated into the system with a single click via import processing.
This mechanism is interesting in that it will also allow our customers to make changes to the Digiparc labels in a simple and rapid manner. In addition, identical labels can be replaced with a simple find/replace by propagating the information in Excel.
To prepare the English version, it took us 4 months of continuous work, it was quite meticulous work which requires keen attention to detail in order to make each label, menu titles, tab titles, window links, messages, etc. as transparent as possible.
The goal was to find a perfect equivalence of each word. It was important to respect the technical vocabulary, so that the end customer would find this vocabulary in their language. This work applies to all modules and interfaces of our solution (more than 10,000 translated words and sentences).
