Qu'est-ce que la gestion de flotte ?

Fleet management brings together all the tasks related to the use and maintenance of a vehicle fleet. By extension, it often includes driver management.
The term fleet management is used to plan, monitor and control a fleet of vehicles, in order to make the fleet more flexible and can be used efficiently. This should allow it to be used optimally to reduce costs.
Vehicles are the central element of fleet management. Their management involves various constraints: technical (equipment, safety, technical inspection, etc.), administrative (vehicle and driver documents, etc.) and logistical (vehicle supply).

Fleet management comes down to three major components:

  • Cost management and control of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)
  •
  • Mastery of upkeep and maintenance
  •
  • Fleet operation

Whatever the sector of activity of the company, fleet management is practiced to achieve the same main objectives:

  • Save time and keep control of your vehicles
  •
  • Automate and simplify fleet management processes
  •
  • Spend less time managing and more time achieving your goals
  •
  • Make the right decisions
  •
  • Improve your performance
  •
  • Increase the productivity of your employees
  •
  • Increase the safety of individuals
  •
  • Control the loss experience of your fleet
  •
  • Moderate aberrant consumption
  •
  • Reduce fleet idle time

There is no reasonable reason not to use fleet software, even for smaller ones. The most common argument made is that fleet software should be assumed to be expensive and complicated. Apart from that, the software frees managers from all the worries encountered during daily management, as long as it is an integrated system which makes it possible to centralize all the information relating to the activity, and therefore save all the time wasted going through the different applications and spreadsheets while increasing the productivity of your employees.
